Setting up a Sustainable Food Partnership for Argyll & Bute
We are delighted to be hosting an online discussion, co-hosted with Argyll and Bute Council, about the formation of a Sustainable Food Partnership (SFP) in our region.
This initiative is part of a national movement towards a healthier, more sustainable, and equitable food system, addressing the UK’s most crucial social, economic, and environmental challenges. With over 85 SFPs already making strides across the UK, Argyll and Bute has the unique opportunity to join forces with public agencies, community organisations, businesses, and academics to spearhead meaningful change in our local food system.
During our session, we will also delve into the Scottish Government’s draft national Good Food Nation plan. This is a critical moment to understand the future of food policy in Scotland, how it affects Argyll and Bute, and how you can play a role in the upcoming national consultations.
Your voice is vital in this collaborative effort to transform our community’s approach to food, sustainability, and equity. Together, we can lay the groundwork for a robust, inclusive food partnership in Argyll and Bute, making a lasting impact on our region and beyond.
The event will be held on Monday the 26th of February 2024 from 10am until 11.30am.
You can register your space through eventbrite.
